Life has been quite different for Holly Larsen over the past few years. She walked away from a thriving real estate development and finance career in Utah to move to Texas for a fresh start. While there, she found an “opportunity that fell into my lap.” She was looking for the St. Tropez airbrush tan – a celebrity favorite – and found that she couldn’t find anywhere that offered it. Reaching out to the company during her search for it led to talks… and then her deciding to open the first stand-alone air-brush tanning salon in the U.S. to offer the St. Tropez product.



She picked up, with her three boys, and moved to Scottsdale to open the business, which she called Naked Beauty. For the fashion and beauty enthusiast, it was a perfect fit. “I got into the business for vanity,” she explains. “It was in my 30s, to avoid the wrinkles and damage of the sun, while still looking good. Now, it has become so much more about health and self-esteem. Tans help cover imperfections. People can look better and feel better about themselves without any risk to their health.” You moved here from Texas, what do you like most about Scottsdale? Desert sunsets are what I like most about Scottsdale. The nights are great here. How do you describe your style? My style is flirty and fun. What is your favorite item of clothing? My favorite thing in my closet would be my mirrored Louboutins…it’s like having disco balls on your feet! Looking tan is great because: everyone looks better with a tan!
